Reflections on St. Joseph

Do you ever reflect on what it must have been like for St. Joseph, married to the Virgin Mother of God, and responsible for the well-being of the Son of God? Imagine being in their Presence for thirty years, watching Jesus grow into manhood, loving them, working for them, sitting down to meals with them, providing for them, praying with them, living a life of grace with them. Oh most blessed of men! What graces God must have given him!
Chorpenning says, " St. Joseph is a role model who teaches that the contemplative and active life must be blended and harmonized, and that love is not the same as romantic daydreams, but must be enfleshed in a life of self-sacrifice and service to others that unfolds in the circumstances of the real world and in the profoundly human context of marriage and family."
Families are under attack by the secular world, which is doing it's best to do away with marriage and children. (Abortion, same-sex "marriage") We would do well to pray to St. Joseph for our own marriages and for our children, and to help us in our daily battles against worldly influences.
St. Joseph looked after the Body of Christ while He lived among us, and St. Joseph continues to look after the Body of Christ now, His Church on earth. He is the patron saint of Canada too, and we really need his help for our country.
Please pray this, the October Prayer to St. Joseph, after your daily Rosary:

To thee, O blessed Joseph, do we have recourse in our tribulation, and after having implored the help of thy thrice holy Spouse, we confidently invoke thy patronage also. By that charity wherewith thou wast united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God ,and by that fatherly affection with which thou didst embrace the Child Jesus, we beseech thee and we humbly pray, that thou wouldst look graciously on the inheritance which Jesus Christ hath purchased by His Blood, and assist us in our needs by thy power and strength.
Most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, protect the chosen people of Jesus Christ; keep far from us, most loving father, all blight of error and corruption: mercifully assist us from heaven, most mighty defender, in this our conflict with the powers of darkness; and even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the supreme peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity; keep us one and all under thy continual protection, that we may be able to lead a holy life, die a happy death, and come at last to the possession of everlasting blessedness in heaven. Amen.

He was such a teacher. I don't believe in praying to anyone but Jesus, I know how important he was in Jesus' life.

OK Cindy, I really want to know why you only pray to Jesus. What exactly are your beliefs?
