Searching for The Way, The Truth, and The Life
fall is truly the most beautiful time of the year!
I agree; I like it better than spring.Fall seems to carry a sense of accomplishment with it; for it is harvest time, and one has the memories of all that you've done in the year, and there is all the preparation you do for winter.
WOW! How beautiful is that. Whe you look at this picture, it should be of little wonder why so many monasteries are located in rural areas, and away from big cities.
Tom, I knew you'd like that picture! I feel blessed to live in the country; it's easy to feel close to God when you are surrounded by the beauty of nature.
frank made a nice post on his blog:)
I just noticed today the leaves are dropping from the trees here where I live. This will be my second winter at the coast, and it is so different than all the snow I'm used to. Summer is still my favourite time of the year, but as a child, I always loved spring when I could walk along the road and hear the crunch of the ice at the edge of the puddles under my feet. I used to dart from one puddle to the nest, crunching the ice that had formed around the edges overnight. It was a sound that carried the promise of spring, and I still have wonderful memories of it.
